A tribe of musicians subsists in a suffocating atmosphere and acts as a theater of the very breath. This wordless play is written at the intersection of object theater – machines – puppets and musical theater.

Dada is an artistic revolution, a collaborative creation by artists who have lost faith in the world they live in. Their way of countering the absurdity of this world and finding a way of living more happily within it is to create. By inventing all kinds of fantasies, poetical follies and outrages, they constantly strive to avoid following the beaten track of conventional or academic order.

It all starts with the feeling that some minutes are longer than others. Behind the window, a series of experiences invites the audience to witness a single minute passing—eight times over. We know the measure of a minute: 60 seconds, one sixtieth of an hour. Here, we are invited to observe the rhythm of time in a personal and subjective way.

Rebatailles draws inspiration from the logic of a dream—one in which life can be recreated after death: by crafting puppets. On stage, a musician and a few turntables awaken three beings: half-alive, half-puppets.
