BATAILLES

2012 - Théâtre du Fil de l'eau

SYNOPSIS

Let’s assume that from the first fall that pulls us from our mother’s womb to the final fall, we move forward by falling and rising again, driven by hope. Each day, we fight to delay that final fall. Batailles was built on metaphysical questions, to which it responds poetically:
Can we deceive ourselves?
What movement does disillusion create?
Does the strength to rise from a fall emerge from the impact itself?
Gravity pulls us downward, but can the mechanical force of the fall give rise to an upward motion?
How many times must we fall and rise to trace the shape of a battle?
